Tecla Palli-Sandler has worked in human resources since 1992. Her wide areas of expertise include strategy, performance management, coaching, training, employee communications, full cycle talent acquisition, employee relations, culture, policies, recognition and high potential programs, compensation, program design as well as management and execution.
Tecla has worked as a HR Business Partner, HR lead and CTO in various industries on and offshore including professional services, media, non-profit, financial services, CPG/beauty and publishing. Her roles have been at companies including: Rizzoli, French American Chamber of Commerce, L’Oreal, Accenture, Guy Carpenter/Marsh & McLennan, Publicis/MediaVest and Dentsu Aegis Network. In these positions, she interfaced with C level executives to brainstorm on strategy to design and execute on the talent agenda, while she is able to flex and inspire at all levels of the organization. Most recently in her last lead roles in media, she led the staffing strategy and execution for various game changing clients including the $3 billion GM and Microsoft accounts. On these projects her key role included: opening new offices, successfully hiring talent and onboarding over 200 new employees in 90 days.
She designed an award winning recognition program, as well as designed, and launched e-learning modules geared toward career management and branding. She also innovated and developed new calibration and talent management processes as well and designed a new bonus incentive program. She implemented strategies and innovative programs on high potential, mentoring, change management, reward, HRIS and outsourcing redeployment with flawless execution.
Tecla holds a Master of Arts from New York University Institute of French Studies in interdisciplinary French politics, history and culture. She received her B.A. in French and Italian literature and languages from Queens College and studied at the Université de Nice & Université Aix en Provence. Tecla is a SPHR from NYU School of Continuing Education and certified in HR, Strategic Work force planning from HRI, DiSC, MBTI, Firo-B and Hogan. She is on the board of Read to a child and is fluent in French and Italian.
Tecla’s favorite Children’s book is “Cuore” by Edmondo De Amicis. “Cuore” means “heart” in Italian and this children’s classic describes the life of an Italian school class a few years before 1900, as seen through the eyes of a boy, Enrico.
