About Miami’s Program

Read to a Child’s Miami office began operating in 2006 and was founded by a former Boston employee who was inspired to bring the program to children in her hometown of Miami.  Currently, the Read to a Child Read Aloud Mentoring Program is offered at two Miami-Dade Public Schools.

If you are interested in volunteering at one of our Miami Schools:

Please first familiarize yourself with our Read Aloud Mentoring Program, verify that you are able to make the weekly lunchtime commitment throughout the school year, and determine if one of our school locations is convenient for you.  NOTE Fall 2020: We are preparing to offer the option of adapted virtual programming. Check back in soon for an update or contact Kaela Mento at kaela.mento@readtoachild.org.
