The Finance Intern will help with the budgeting process, will work out of our Wellesley office and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Read to a Child has a robust budgeting process which covers program goals, revenues and expenses. We work closely with our five regions to help them and the organization build an achievable and exciting budget for the upcoming year. The budget is presented to the Board of Directors in September, but much of the work falls in August.
The Finance Intern would work closely with the CFO on all aspect of the budgeting process (that closely resembles that for much larger organizations).
The ideal candidate is a college student or senior in high school, potentially interested in a career in Finance. There is a lot of work in Excel – – the candidate does not need advanced Excel skills but should be a comfortable intermediate Excel user.
The internship would be for 30 – 60 hours during the weeks of 8/5/19 and 8/12/19. Our internships are not paid but do offer great experience, rewarding work, a great resume builder and community service hours and/or class credit.
Please send a letter of interest and resume to email@example.com.
