MEDIA ADVISORY: Patriots Tight End Martellus Bennet and Boston Superintendent Chang to Speak at Read to a Child’s Annual Gala in Boston

BOSTON – November 14, 2016 – National non-profit literacy and mentoring organization Read to a Child® will host its annual gala at Boston’s Omni Parker House on Thursday November 17th beginning at 6:30pm.  New England Patriots tight end and children’s book author Martellus Bennett and Boston Public Schools Superintendent Tommy Chang will be the featured speakers at the event.  Joined by Read to a Child supporters, education leaders, area philanthropists and business executives, Martellus and Tommy will highlight the importance of reading and mentoring to fuel a child’s imagination, as well as corporate and community partnerships in boosting literacy skills among at-risk public school students.
