Read to a Child’s Read Aloud Mentoring Program helps students enhance their literacy skills and develop the socio-emotional skills that are critical to their success in the classroom, their community and beyond.
Read to a Child has faith in our students’ abilities to thrive when provided with equitable resources and we choose to focus on their abundant strengths, potential and opportunity.
As we continue to offer our virtual model and re-enter some schools in-person, Read to a Child is proud to report that 99% of students improved in at least one area during the Read Aloud Mentoring Program. And, 84% of students benefited in all 8 measured areas. This year, we also measured that 67% of our students benefited with the learning loss, mental health impacts, or both, associated with COVID-19.
