Alison Gontarz joined Read to a Child in 2017 as a Program Coordinator and in July of 2022 took on the role of Program Manager. As a passionate reader, Alison received a BA from Lesley University with a minor in Children’s Literature, and started her career in children’s literature at the Horn Book. As a Program Manager she supports seven schools in Greater Boston through volunteer recruitment and training, as well as program management. Alison was drawn to Read to a Child’s mission of fostering a love of reading and bringing the joy of reading aloud to students in the Boston area.
