Samantha McAllister

Samantha McAllister joined Read to a Child in the Development Coordinator position in January 2022, and has taken on more responsibility as of July 2023 in her new position as Development & Communications Coordinator. She works closely with the Development team to ensure fundraising goals are met in support of Read to a Child’s national sustainability and growth, along with communicating to stakeholders the impact of our programming. Samantha also manages Read to a Child’s external communications, including social media and national newsletters. A native Kentuckian, Samantha comes to Read to a Child via Washington, DC where she received her bachelor’s degree from American University. Known for bringing a book with her anytime she leaves the house, Samantha is passionate about developing that same love of reading in children, bringing her to the national Read to a Child team.
