Steve Thompson is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, bringing financial literacy and planning to his community. He and his wife, Lavonne, have been married over 20 years and share a deep commitment to nurturing their son, Colton, by reading to him since his birth.
After 17 years in metro Detroit, Steve, Lavonne, and Colton returned to their roots in Indianapolis, Indiana. Steve is deeply passionate about volunteering and advocates for children impacted by systemic inequalities, focusing on their strengths rather than the barriers they face. His extensive volunteer work includes roles in youth sports programs, the Big Brother/Big Sister Beyond School Walls initiative, Operation Backpack and the Dad’s Club at his son’s elementary school. Steve proudly joined the organization’s National Board in 2024.
