About Miami’s Program

Read to a Child’s Miami office began operating in 2006 and was founded by a former Boston employee who was inspired to bring the program to children in her hometown of Miami.  Currently, the Read to a Child Read Aloud Mentoring Program is offered at two Miami-Dade Public Schools.

If you are interested in volunteering at one of our Miami Schools:

Please first familiarize yourself with our Read Aloud Mentoring Program, verify that you are able to make the weekly lunchtime commitment throughout the school year, and determine if one of our school locations is convenient for you. Though we may continue to offer a virtual mentoring option in the short term, we expect volunteers to select a school they are able to visit at lunchtime once it’s safe and they are permitted to do so.  Once you have determined the best school for you, please complete an application here.

If you are a company or organization that would like to partner with us, please contact us at infomiami@readtoachild.org.
