About Los Angeles’ program
Read to a Child’s Los Angeles office began operating in 2002, serving children in Los Angeles county. Currently, the Read to a Child Lunchtime Reading Program is offered at seven Los Angeles county elementary schools. The Los Angeles office enjoys support from many of the city’s largest firms that extend their community impact through responsible corporate citizenry by partnering with Read to a Child to provide volunteers and resources to support our mission. Currently, nearly 250 corporate volunteers are opening up the world of reading one lunchtime at a time.
